The book didn't need to be included in the serpentwar saga at all really in my opinion. It was cool. Something has contaminated them. But i knew it would be like it was, and i was not disappointed. It gave some much-needed weight to his death after the previous book, where it was little more than a plot point to drive other events and the characters whose heads we were in had no reason to care much. My memories of the book, upon picking it up again during this full rereading of Feist's library, are fond ones.
